Aubrey Farkas Harris

Aubrey Farkas Harris is a 15-year veteran of Los Angeles’ political and civic arenas. She founded AFH Public Affairs after serving a variety of roles in federal and state government, political campaigns, nonprofit leadership, and the private sector. With considerable experience in government relations, advocacy, and communications, Aubrey is a results-oriented problem solver. She will help you build your brand and create a plan to propel your organization to the next level. 

Aubrey has worked in politics and government relations, overseeing the advocacy programs for California’s preeminent nonprofit organizations, and cultivated relationships across diverse segments of LA’s civic community. Aubrey’s lobbying accomplishments include creating California’s Homeland Security Grant Program for vulnerable nonprofits, passing landmark anti-discrimination legislation, and securing millions of dollars in public funding for the arts.

Aubrey spent her early career working in the US House of Representatives where she worked on foreign and domestic policy outreach, and the California State Assembly overseeing consumer protection, state budget, Film Tax Credit, and health care policy areas. 

A veteran of several high-profile political campaigns, Aubrey has a talent for distilling complex policy to be communicated to wide audiences.

Aubrey earned a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Southern California  (USC) and graduated from UC Davis where she studied Political Science, Middle Eastern/South Asian Studies and Art History. She serves on the national young leadership committee of the Anti-Defamation League, and completed the Coro Women in Leadership fellowship.
